Auffallenderweise ist das The Giant Owl das erste Album mit einer perfekten 5/5 Wertung. Ich könnte jetzt mehr darüber schreiben wie unglaublich gut die Harmonien in dem Album gelungen sind. Oder wie unglaublich kreativ ein Album ist dass es schafft mich mit jedem Song neu zu überraschen mit perfekten Übergängen von langsameren Passagen zu mitreißenden Refrains oder unerwarteten Instrumentierungen. Es wirkt als könnte er jedes beliebige Instrument in seine Songs integrieren und dabei trotzdem mit jeder Wahl dieses Level an Qualität beibehalten. Oder ich könnte mehr darüber schreiben dass das ganze von einer einzigen Person kreiiert wurde. Das werde ich aber einfach alles so stehen lassen und weise lieber darauf hin dass wenn ihr Gefallen an dem Album findet dass ihr dann noch 2 weitere Alben findet in dem ihr den ein oder anderen Song finden könntet der euch noch gefallen könnte. Die älteren Alben waren allerdings qualitativ einen Tick schlechter was das aktuelle Album umsomehr aufwertet. Und als letztes weise ich wohl noch darauf hin dass zum Zeitpunkt dieses Reviews der meistgespielte Song auf seiner Myspace Seite 32 mal abgespielt wurde. Und er 31 Myspace Freunde hat. Entweder ist ihm das komplett egal oder er ist unverdienter Weise der unbekannteste talentierte Musiker der mir je in meine Kopfhörer gesungen hat.

Strikingly enough, The Giant Owl is the first album on this blog to receive a perfect 5/5 rating. I could write more about how unbelievable organic these songs came out. Or how unbelievably creative an album needs to be to surprise me non-stop with things like perfect transitions from slow harmonic beginnings to a rousing refrain or unexpected instrumentalizations. It seems like the musician is able to incorporate every instrument into his songs at will while still maintaining a very high quality of every part. Or I could write more about the fact the whole album is being created by one person. I will just leave it at that and rather point out that there are still 2 other albums, in which you might find a song you could like. The overall quality of his older recordings is not as high as the current one, however this shouldnt distract from quality of the The Giant Owl. Finally, I am going to hint at the fact that at the time of this review the most played song on his Myspace was played 32 times. And that he has 31 Myspace friends. Either he totally doesnt care about that or he is undeservingly the most unknown talented musician who ever sung into my headphones.
