Hier haben wir wieder mal ein typisches Singer/Songwriter Pop Album. Was mich daran erinnert mal jemanden in einem Interview zu fragen ob diese Bezeichnung überhaupt noch gewünscht ist. Lasst euch aber nicht davon abschrecken zumindest mal reinzuhören wenn ihr in der Stimmung für etwas ruhigeres seid. Das Album fängt mit einem der besten Lieder des Albums an und findet mit "All there is" nach dem etwas dramatisch klingenden "Slow Hurricane" einen guten beruhigenden Ausklang. Außerdem sollte ich erwähnen dass das Album von 2007 ist und sich demnach im Hause Coleman einiges getan hat. Das 2007er Album "I'll Tear My Walls Down" ist definitiv als ruhiges Sommernachtsalbum ohne größere Ecken und Kanten zu sehen. Allerdings solltet ihr auch mal in seine aktuellen EP's reinschauen von denen ich euch oben eine mit verlinkt habe da er auch experimentierfreudigere Wege einschlagen kann. Alles in allem ein recht gefälliges ruhiges Album über die Liebe, die Eine und ein paar andere Fragen die einen Nachts nicht schlafen lassen.

This is a typical Singer/Songwriter Pop Album. Which reminds me to ask someone in an Interview whether this description is still desirable for musicians. Anyway, dont get immediately scared off by that if you are in the mood for something quiet and easy. The album starts with one of the best songs of the record and finds a very soothing end with "All there is" after the slightly dramatic "Slow Hurricane". Furthermore, I really should emphasize that this is an album from 2007 and Bill Coleman made quite some progress regarding his music. The album "I'll Tear My Walls Down" is definitely to be seen as a relatively quite album for a summer night without having any major rough edges. Listening to his recently released EP's, from which I linked one above, its clear that he experimented a bit more and really deserves another listen. In the end, this album is a pretty agreeable record about love, the one, and a few other questions that keep you up at night.
